Farewell to Bex!

It’s been a couple of weeks since I have managed to find the time and write a newsletter, with things being super busy in the butchery. We’ve now past the shortest day of the year, and are now on the climb into spring, as the days start to get longer again, however there is still some cold weather ahead! Kate’s curries and slow cooker meals have been very well received this season, with a couple more to come over the next few weeks.

This week I have been given the job of saying goodbye (for now) to our very first employee Bex, who is leaving us to go on maternity leave. Bex started with us in November 2016 and has now grown into a full-time position with us, manning the customer service emails, and Facebook page. She also has been delivering to the folks in Haumoana and Havelock North areas, and I’m sure they will miss her. So, thank you for your hard work Bex, and for occasionally having to put up with a grumpy butcher. Kate and I wish you all the best for the upcoming birth and hope everything goes well.

Check out next week’s menu over the page and be sure to get your orders in. Kate’s recipes look amazing next week, and I’m sure they will be as tasty as ever. Stay warm this week and keep the slow cooker going!

Happy eating

Paul
