Hot & stormy

Wow, what a week of hot weather we are having, punctuated by a nice thunderstorm to keep us on our toes. This week has brought a big thump of reality and routine back, and with school going back shortly, I’m sure there is more than a few of us looking forward to waving the kids off ;).

The summer menu has been a big hit so far, with the watermelon and feta salad with rump steak being a big talking point, with many people thinking they wouldn’t like it, but actually loved it. That’s one of the things I really like about On Your Plate, being able to try new styles of cooking and new combinations of flavours, without having to spend hours doing the homework on new recipes. I’ve seen a good amount of responses using our feedback form, so thank you to all those that have responded, and keep it coming. It has highlighted some common areas across a few customers that we need to work on. As you are aware, if we don’t hear about these things we can’t improve, and I am on a big mission this year to make some small changes that will make the whole experience more enjoyable and less niggly.

This weeks menu has some amazing flavour combinations, which is sure to tantalise the taste buds. I’m looking forward to the Saucy Honey & Mustard Pork Sirloin Steak with Nectarine and Roasted New Potatoes & Cauliflower recipe which sounds so good. I hope you all have a great week, and manage to find a way to cool off!

Happy Eating,

- Paul
